Meet the Team

Dr. Juskaran Ahuja is a dedicated veterinarian at Sahara Animal Hospital who brings both deep-rooted passion and advanced training to his role. Originally from New Jersey, he earned his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in New Jersey for a year, Dr. Ahuja relocated to Southern California to enjoy a warmer climate and be closer to family, continuing a lifelong journey in animal care.

 

As a second-generation veterinarian and the son of Dr. Manjeet Singh, Dr. Ahuja’s connection to veterinary medicine began early. Having grown up in a veterinary hospital since the age of two, he spent his childhood cuddling patients in the treatment area and observing surgeries from a step stool beside his father. This early immersion shaped his passion for the field and solidified his calling. Today, he finds daily affirmation in his work through the unspoken gratitude of his patients and the joy shared between pets and their owners. He considers it a true privilege to strengthen the human-animal bond and make a meaningful impact on the lives of both.

Dr. Ahuja’s professional interests include dermatology, cardiology, ultrasound, surgery, and hospice care. He is especially passionate about supporting rescue organizations and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, advocating for animals who lack access to veterinary care and a voice of their own. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Indian American Veterinary Medical Association (IAVMA). Outside of work, Dr. Ahuja enjoys staying active through hiking, weightlifting, tennis, and dancing to Bhangra music. He also loves to travel and is deeply committed to community service, regularly volunteering with Seva Collective in Santa Ana. Above all, he values spending quality time with his family and friends.

Dr. Manjeet Singh is a dedicated Veterinarian at Sahara Animal Hospital with more than 32 years of experience in the field. He earned his veterinary degree from Punjab Agricultural University and completed his internship at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. His extensive background has equipped him with a deep understanding of both large and small animal care, shaping him into a compassionate and skilled practitioner.

 

Dr. Singh began his veterinary career working in rural villages in Punjab, where he cared for large animals and supported local farming communities. His passion for veterinary medicine was rooted in his love for animals and the fulfillment he found in helping them thrive. Over the years, he has developed professional interests in surgery and dermatology and remains actively engaged in the field through his memberships with the AVMA and IAVMA.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Singh enjoys a well-rounded and fulfilling life. He loves gardening, reading, and traveling, and cherishes spending time with his family. Whether taking his grandchildren to the library or enjoying quiet moments at home with his wife, he values the balance between his professional dedication and personal life.
